Rebecca Sedlak graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oregon in June 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Journalism, with a focus in Magazine. During the summer of 2012, Rebecca Sedlak was a Snowden intern general assignment reporter at The Daily Astorian in Astoria, OR. She is now the editor of Coast Weekend, the weekly arts and entertainment magazine printed by The Daily Astorian, covering events on the Oregon North Coast and the southwestern coast of Washington. While at UO, she wrote for several campus publications, including the Oregon Daily Emerald newspaper, where she simultaneously served as the special sections editor. As a reporter she wrote 2-3 articles per week. As special sections editor she managed 7-10 freelancers and edited 10 special sections, 1 magazine, and 12 daily entertainment sections for the 2012 Olympic Trials held in Eugene, OR. She is interested in entertainment reporting, food writing, editing, publishing and media criticism.
